Warren Webb & Co was established at Eastwood in 1982 to provide legal services to the local Ryde/Eastwood businesses and community. Wayne Thom joined the firm in 1988, when it became Webb Thom & Associates. The firm moved from Eastwood to it's current location in Victoria Road West Ryde in 1996.

Webb Thom & Associates Solicitors is comprised of one solicitors and a capable support staff, including our conveyancing clerk, probate clerk and secretarial staff. Our professional team is highly qualified and experienced.

Where there is a Will, Webb Thom & Associates Solicitors work with the executor to determine the quickest and most cost effective means of distributing the assets in accordance with that Will. Where there is no Will, we can assist in preparing the documentation for the appointment of the person who shall be responsible for the distribution of the estate under the legal rules on Intestacy.

Wayne Thom

Wayne Thom is the principal of Webb Thom & Associates Solicitors and has worked as a Solicitor in suburban legal practice for over 43 years. Wayne has worked in the West Ryde area since 1988, moving to the current premises (Victoria Road, West Ryde) in 1996.

Wayne is a member of the Law Society of NSW, the West Ryde Chamber of Commerce, the Family Law Council of New South Wales.

Having always lived in the local area he has been actively involved in local business and sporting associations as well as his sons' schools.

With a strong background as a Family Lawyer, Wayne combines his legal knowledge and experience with a personal approach to resolving issues relating to family breakdown, including divorce, property division and children's matters. Wayne also leads the commercial and conveyancing area of the Webb Thom & Associates practice dealing with both residential and business sales and purchases, plus other commercial matters including leasing and contractual matters.

Webb Thom & Associates DO NOT CHARGE for the following

  • Advice at first consultation in Family Law and De Facto matters
  • Short consultation and quotation in all other matters

Pricing for Conveyancing, plus Business Sales and Purchases are discussed below. All other matters are charged on an hourly basis.

Conveyancing Pricing

Real Estate Sales
  • There is set fee for acting on sale from the drafting of the sale contract to concluding settlement, including arranging for discharge of one mortgage.
  • Fee is payable on settlement
  • If property is withdrawn from sale we charge on hourly rate basis for work undertaken to that time
Real Estate Purchases
  • There is set fee for acting on purchase from advising on contract subsequently exchanged to concluding settlement, including arranging building and or strata report advising and attending on signing of one mortgage, arranging payment of stamp duty or exemption and arranging and attending settlement
  • Fee is payable on settlement
  • If contract is exchanged but not settled we charge on hourly rate for work undertaken to that time.

Business Sales and Purchases Pricing

Sales
  • There is set fee which varies with the nature and complexity of acting on sale from the drafting of the sale contract to concluding settlement.
  • There is set fee for arranging consent of Landlord and attending documentation in relation to assignment of lease. This fee is usually passed to the purchaser as part of the sale contract.
  • Fees are payable on settlement.
  • If property is withdrawn from sale we charge on hourly rate basis for work undertaken to that time
Purchases
  • A charge of $50 is made for advising on contract that is not exchanged
  • There is set fee which varies with the nature and complexity of acting on purchase from advising on a contract subsequently exchanged to concluding settlement, including advice and documentation on existing lease to be transferred or new lease charged on hourly basis.
  • Fees are payable on settlement
  • If contract is exchanged but not settled we charge on hourly rate for work undertaken to that time.
